A. Director Quality Assurance and Standards – J/G ‘R’ (1 Post)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field from a recognized institution.
- Masters degree in the relevant discipline.
- Professional certificate in a relevant field from a recognized institution

Responsibilities
Reporting to Chief Officer /Education and Vocational Training, the officer will: –
- Supervise provision of quality assured ECDE & VTC service in the County
- Oversee and address teacher management issues such as staffing, discipline, promotion, transfers, leave etc
- Develop and coordinate implementation of quality assurance systems in the institutions such as maintenance and amendments of regulations.
- Coordinate inspection of schools to ensure required standards are maintained
- Monitor, evaluate and review policies on standards and relevance in ECDE & VTC
- Contribute towards review of policy governing quality assurance systems and procedures relating to Education programmes.
- Collection and dissemination of all research data or information regarding ECDE & VTC services in the County.
- Carry out regular Quality Assurance and Standards assessment of ECDE & VTC institutions.
- Contribute towards staff development activities organized for academic and administrative staff in institutions.
- Provide information on education trends to the Chief Officer.
- Coordinate all research concerning ECDE & VTC services in the County
B. Assistant Director Vocational Training Centre – J/G ‘P’ (1 Post)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Technology from a recognized institution
- Certificate in a senior management course from a recognized institution.
- Computer literacy
- Be conversant with County Government operations and demonstrate understanding of policies on VTC.
- Relevant experience of least 7 years
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director Vocational Training Centers (VTCs), the officer will be responsible for: –
- Coordinating the establishment of functional board of County Youth Polytechnics
- Facilitating the promotion of innovative initiative and business incubations in Vocational Training
- Managing and coordinating the development of the County bursary fund and its database
- Coordinating the programmes, projects and activities for VTC
- Offering guidance and counselling to the youth in the polytechnic in order to build good character traits among them.
- Ensuring preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans and training materials
- Ensuring the development and maintenance of assets and skills inventories in V
C. Manager Vocational Training Centre – J/G ‘K’ (30 Posts)
Requirements
- Bachelor of Education degree in any technical field
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in a technical field from a technical training institution or any other qualification from a recognized technical training institute
- Must be conversant with the current trends in Education and training Curriculum development procedures, research practices, VTCs code of conduct and ethics.
- Computer literacy is a mandatory requirement
- Applicants must have a working experience in Technical institute or equivalent for a minimum period of 3 years.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sub County Education Coordinator, the Manager will: –
- Manage programs within the policies and procedures of the organization
- Develop a program evaluation framework to access the strengths of the program and identify areas of improvement
- Plan delivery of overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and goal of the organization
- Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization
- Develop and implement long term goals and objective to achieve the successful outcome of the program
- Develop funding proposals for the program to ensure continuity in delivery of service
- Ensure that program activities comply with relevant legislation and professional standards
- Oversee the collection and maintenance of program records.
D. Education Coordinator – J/G ‘K’ (25 Posts)
Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree in the relevant field or Higher National Diploma (HND) from a technical training institute or any other qualification from a recognized technical training institute
- Professional certificate in a relevant field from a recognized Institution
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of relevant legislations
- Knowledge of quality assurance standards
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sub County Education Coordinator, the Education Coordinator, will : –
- Supervise and ensure provision of quality assurance services regarding ECDE & VTC services in the ward.
- Oversee implementation of teacher management issues such as staffing, discipline, transfer, annual leave etc
- Coordinate inspection of schools to ensure required standards are maintained
- Monitor, evaluate and review policies on standards and relevance in Early Childhood Development and Education in the Ward
- Check on staff performance and performance management in ECDE & VTC centres in the ward.
- Review curriculum that is recommended in ECDE & VTC facilities and ensure appropriate methods are used.
- Ensure health and nutrition programs are offered in ECDE centres in the ward.
- Collect and disseminate all research data or information regarding ECDE & VTC services in the ward.
- Carry out regular quality assurance and standards assessment of ECDE & VTC in the ward.
- Contribute towards staff development activities organized for academic and administrative staff in institutions
E. Office Administrative Assistant II (Formerly Secretarial assistant I) – J/G ‘H’ (1 Post)
Requirements
- Diploma in Secretarial studies stage II
- Computer literacy
- Minimum 2 years experience.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Administrative Officer, he or she will be responsible for: –
- Typing and processing data.
- Filing and retrieving information
- Ensuring security of office records, documents and proper handling and use of office equipment.
- Management of E-Office
- Management of office protocol and handling telephone calls and appointments.
- Any other duty as may be assigned.
